Thoughts to consider: God wants to show up in our lives! Just as important, He wants to use you to show up in the lives of others as well. Peter wasn’t the only one who showed up to Cornelius’ house that day. Peter had traveling companions and when they saw the Holy Spirit was being poured out “even on Gentiles,” they were “astonished.” God wants to astonish us again. Are you ready to be astonished? If not, why? Perhaps the only thing more astonishing than the new thing God wants to do is a church that doesn’t want to be astonished by God. May that never be true of us. May God always be able to draw us toward His astonishment again.
