Day 52: Cutting off the foot…

Today’s Big Idea: Don’t despise your role.

Passage of the day: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

Thoughts to consider: Have you ever felt unimportant because you don’t have the same role as someone else in the church, like a teacher or a worship leader or even the Pastor? Today is the day to give those feelings to Jesus. Paul paints an interesting picture here in vs 15 of our passage. Imagine one of your feet thinking it’s not of any value because it’s not a hand. The sad reality is that this happens in the church. But in Christ’s church no gift is more important than any other. This means the reverse is true as well - no gift is less important than any other. Big or small, seen or unseen, your gift is an important part of Christ’s body and it will not function completely without you. Jesus made you as you are. There’s no unimportant part of the body. There may be some parts that are less visible, but they all matter to Jesus, and they matter to His church. You Matter!
