Thoughts to consider: No great work goes on without opposition. Sometimes it’s external, and other times it’s internal. But it always shows up. Remember: The presence of opposition does not mean the absence of God. Nehemiah’s enemies didn’t attack him or the workers head-on. They used scare tactics, lies, and delay tactics. But just like Nehemiah, we can’t be diverted from the work that God has called us to. Notice, instead of Nehemiah prying that the burden is lifted, or the meanies are silenced, he prayed that his hands would be strengthened. As your ministry builds or your project moves forward, there will be challenges and outright attacks. But remember this - when God calls you, God strengthens you.
