Day 5 - Repent of wrong attitudes 

Todays’ Big Idea: Attitude is Everything

Passage of the Day: Matthew 3:1-2

Thoughts to consider: Henry Ford famously said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t - your right.” Attitude is everything, and this is true for those who follow Jesus too. If our attitude toward God and His church is not the same as Christ’s, everything will go wrong. Having the right attitude sets the stage for everything else. During our pondering, did we discover a wrong attitude? Then it is time to repent. Repentance isn’t easy. We must see a need for repentance of attitudes, then we need to speak it out to Jesus so we can be forgiven. In today’s passage, we see John the Baptist was preparing the way for Jesus, and repentance was at the center of his message. Spiritual growth moves forward in repentant hearts. Are there any attitudes towards your fellow church members or church leaders you need to repent of? Maybe you have been stuck with the attitude that a church is here to serve you? Whatever it is you discovered in your pondering of yesterday, take time today and repent for the wrong attitudes.
